`During my teenage years in Germany, I often encountered the question, "Why are Africans so underrepresented in certain professions?"

As an adult, I analyzed the main reasons for this. In my opinion, these lie in a lack of personal role models, a lack of career guidance and a non-existent network. The more I dealt with this topic, the more my heart desire grew to establish a network in Germany to bring a change.

With the support of YAPA Germany e. V. the view of young people should already be changed by showing that each individual, regardless of origin, can successfully follow his/her educational or professional path. The key to success is the establishment of a network of aspiring professionals, academics, trainees and students of African and non-African descent.
 

This network shall offer young people an orientation and accompany them on their way into the professional world. YAPA Germany e. V. provides a platform for networking and career guidance for young people.
